The Ramayana: Traditional Indian Art Workshop is a hands-on artistic experience inspired by one of India's most enduring epics. Participants get an opportunity to explore selected moments, characters, and themes from the Ramayana while learning the visual language of traditional Indian folk art. Similar Ramayana art workshops use painting as a form of visual storytelling, where colours, patterns, characters, and compositions work together to represent different parts of the narrative.
During the workshop, participants can explore traditional drawing and painting techniques with step-by-step guidance. The focus is not only on creating an artwork but also on understanding how Indian art has historically been used to preserve and communicate stories across generations. Traditional forms such as Madhubani, Pattachitra, and Cheriyal have strong connections with mythological and narrative themes, including stories from the Ramayana.
