The name Vartalaap brings together two ideas: Varta, meaning conversation, and Alaap, a melodic expression. Together, they create a show that feels less like a conventional concert and more like an intimate conversation told through stories, songs, memories, and melodies.
The evening takes audiences on a musical journey through retro Bollywood, timeless classics, folk traditions of Himachal Pradesh, and sounds from neighbouring regions. Songs do more than entertain here—they help carry each story forward, adding emotion and a fresh perspective to familiar melodies.
Expect a relaxed and interactive experience where there is time for a story to unfold, a song to breathe, and a melody to stay with you. The performance brings together Hindi, Punjabi, and Pahari music with acoustic, folk, indie, regional, retro, and romantic influences.
You don't need to know every song or every tradition to enjoy Vartalaap. Come with curiosity and an open mind, and discover familiar sounds from a different perspective.
